Her fond memories of family outings and day trips were to beautiful historic parks and landmarks in Los Angeles, many that remain today, such as Griffith Park, The Observatory, Ferndale Park, The Santa Anita Race Track, and many others. In her teens she developed an interest for art and culture, and attended events at local historic theaters including the Greek Theatre, The Hollywood Bowl, The Wadsworth, and the John Ford Anson Theatre. She embraced the outdoor beauty and climate of California, and enjoyed ocean swimming, hiking the canyons, and the highest mountain peaks in Los Angeles to see spectacular views of the city, the ocean, and the stars.

She attended art school focusing on illustration, fashion, and writing, and later received a cosmetology license, and has worked in the holistic beauty industry while raising her daughter who is now 19.

In 2001 she decided to use her communication and writing skills in media, and became a calendar announcer and producer for K.P.F.K. 90.7 FM in Los Angeles. This inspired her to produce a half hour travel show where she could share the history and culture of Los Angeles landmarks that she had enjoyed while growing up, to help increase public awareness of the programs and events to enjoy year round at these locations.

"Treasures Of The West" airs monthly on 90.7 FM in Los Angeles, and her mission is to remind us of California's rich history and culture for all generations to enjoy for years to come.
